Editor

Andreas Klaus is the founder and editor of Proof & Merit and is responsible for editorial direction, methodology and publication standards.

Review process

We begin with the decision a reader is trying to make, define the criteria that materially affect that decision, gather evidence and compare tradeoffs. We distinguish direct experience, primary documentation, measured data and qualified third-party reporting rather than treating them as equivalent.

Commercial independence

Affiliate participation, access to a product, partner documentation or commercial contact does not guarantee positive coverage. We disclose affiliate relationships on relevant pages and do not accept undisclosed predetermined editorial claims.

Corrections policy

We correct material factual errors when they are verified. If a correction changes the substance of a recommendation or comparison, the page should be updated clearly rather than silently preserving a misleading conclusion.

To request a correction, email hello@proofandmerit.com with the page URL, the disputed statement and supporting evidence.

Updates

Products, features, prices and terms change. Review and comparison pages should show publication or update dates, and material product changes should trigger a re-check when they could alter the recommendation.
